“ISAIAH - Striving Less and Trusting God More
by Melissa Spoelstra
Led by Donna Goble
7 weeks

Class begins Aug. 19

Do you want to know the LORD better? Your desire to grow spiritually is a great thing. We just have to guard against relying on our own effort to bring it about. Trust is at the heart of every healthy relationship, especially our relationship with God. It’s one thing to say we trust Him, but does our stress level, worry, or lack of peace give evidence that we rely on Him? In this 7-week study of Isaiah, we will see that we can trust God more than our human efforts or the counterfeits the world offers. We will be encouraged to let go of striving and learn to trust God’s Character, His comfort, and even His correction. Join us on this journey to Strive Less and Trust God More.

MONDAY EVENING 6:00 p.m.

“All Who Are Thirsty
Prepared and led by Kathleen McQuain
10 weeks

Class begins Aug. 19

Someone once likened God to a prism suggesting that what you see or experience about Him depends on how you turn the glass. For instance, turn it in faith and you would see God’s greatness or turn it in love and find the matchless love of the One who gave His life for you. For ten weeks, we will search in God’s Word for validation of the truth of Who He is and share with each other how He shows up in our lives even when we are not looking for Him. Come just as you are, bring your Bible, a notebook or journal, and a heart that longs to be closer to Jesus. (There is no book to purchase.)

“I Corinthians 13 - Loving Like Jesus in a World That Hurts and Hates”
by Pam Gillaspie

Led by Raenel Mathews
10-12 weeks
Class begins Aug. 22

In John Chapters 13-17, we heard Jesus tell His disciples several times to “love one another.” In this study of 1 Corinthians 13, we will look at what it really means to “love one another.” We will take a deep dive into what love is and isn’t and what love does and doesn’t do. We will see how Paul gives us real-life solutions to love like Jesus, especially in a world that hurts and hates. The book is 8 lessons, but we will likely take our time digging into God’s Word across 10 to 12 weeks. Books can be purchased on Amazon or through Pam Gillaspie’s website.
